Sunoco purchased the Bayport, Texas polypropylene facility in the spring of 2003 from Equistar Chemicals. The Bayport plant has an annual capacity of 400 million pounds. This acquisi- tion complemented and enhanced our polypropylene position, making us the third largest pro- ducer in North America.
