The Toledo Refinery employs approximately  600 people and can process 140,000 barrels a day of crude oil into gasoline, diesel fuel, kerosene, propane, and residual fuels. The refinery also produces petrochemicals that are sold to chemical companies as feedstocks for the manufacture of plastics, styrofoam, detergents, nylon, and other products.

Sunoco Chemicals' Early Toledo, Ohio Refinery

The Toledo Refinery was the first Sunoco refinery.  Sunoco, as part of the Diamond Oil Company,  purchased the refinery in  1894. The current Sunoco logo stems from the Diamond Oil Company name.
