| RAILTRAC.com Overview RAILTRAC.com is an e-service provided by Sunoco, Inc. (R+M) and Bourque Data Systems, Inc. allowing Sunoco to communicate to their customers regarding the status of current shipments. Information available through on-line access include: Advance Shipment Notification, Detention/Retention Notification and Shop Shipment/Repair Notification. To access RAILTRAC.com go to the Bourque Data Systems web site (http://www.railtrac.com/), enter the User ID and Password in the upper right corner of the page. Contact your Sunoco Sales Representative or Customer Service Representative to obtain a User-ID and a password. On-line access provides for viewing of the Trip Summary which lists Car ID, Current Location, Ship Date, Sight Code, Origin, Last Sighted, Destination, Railroad, Product and Load Status.
The Trip Summary screen groups cars in each status (1 To Consignee; 2 At Consignee; 3 Returning from Consignee). The information available to customers during on-line sessions include Car Mechanical Information, Detailed Shipment Information, as well as product information. Below is the Trip Summary screen:
Users can sort by any of the row headings. For example, if a user wants to sort by ship date, they would simply click Ship Date in the column heading. The list would then be reordered to display the earliest ship date first, clicking again will bring the list back in descending order. All of the column headings sort in the same manner.
Notice the Railcars' at Consignee and Railcars' Released screens display whether detention is charged and the number of free days allowed. The Days Over and Days Held are also listed so customers can see the amount of time they will be charged for detention on railcars that are released late.
Clicking on the actual Car ID (ARSX003089) produces specifications for that car. The screen below shows the format of the Railcar Profile, Car Specs, Mechanical Specs and Car Capacity.
Clicking on Ship Date from the Trip Summary screen will bring the details of the shipment. Car ID, Ship Date, Customer, Status, Origin, Current Location, Destination, Sight Code, Last Sighted Time, Load Status, Railroad, BOL, PO Number, Trip Number, One Way Round, Supplier Name, Route Description and Reverse Route Description. Commodity Information is listed at the bottom of the screen.
The Shipment Detail screen is accessed through the summary screen by clicking on the Ship Date of the car in question. The information available is Car ID, Ship Date, Customer, Status, Origin, Current Location, Destination, Sight Code, Last Sighted Time, Load Status, Railroad, Bill of Lading, PO Number, Trip Number, One Way Round, Supplier Name, Route Description, Rev. Route Description and Commodity details.
The Commodity Product Summary is available by clicking the product listed on the summary screen. The information available in this screen (as shown below) Amount, Commodity Name, STCC Code, Hazardous Material, Prop Ship Name, Tech Name, Dot Class, Hazmat Cert, Un Na No, Pack Grp, Imo Class No, Hazmat Zone, Ship Name Qual, Rq Notice, Nos Notice, Resid Notice, Poison Inhale Notice, Inhalation Hazard Notice.
Detention information is also available from Shipment Detail screen (shown above). RAILTRAC® users decide who is selected to receive information via the internet. This is accomplished by setting criteria in RAILTRAC® which allows selected consignees to receive updates as seen above via the Internet. |
